//DISCLAIMER:
These lessons are based from the Minna No Nihongo (中級) Intermediate textbook as a continuation of the Minna No Nihongo series. But even if you don’t have the textbook, you can still follow along the lessons by just watching the video.

I'm currently living in Japan and I use Japanese at work and daily life. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my language school and through self-study. I'm not a native Japanese speaker nor am I a licensed Japanese language teacher. I’ve passed the JLPT N3 exam and am planning to take the JLPT N2 test in the future. So if you find any mistakes, feel free to let know so that we can all learn together. Thank you!

13:00 Thank you!! last year I was trying to subtitle a clip and they said 'katte ni yacchatta'. I first looked up Katte ni which was fairly straightforward, but oh boy trying to look up "yachata or jachata or iachata" leads nowhere if you don't suspect it's yaru, that omnipresent yaru...

Hi Rose,
Thank you for your lessons.
The new layout of your grammar videos is nice on desktop but it is hard to read when we learn on smartphone.

Sumimasen,

今日は,

We Japanese Language Students have been waiting for one year now some are even longer to enter Japan. No other country has imposed such a limbo for foreign students.

Please can you (Japanese people, schools, education authorities etc.) urge the government to look into the matter or at least tell them to give a statement about foreign students? How long shall we wait and what shall we do?

Since the border has been closed again right after few days it had opened, can the Japanese Government at least consider cancelling the phase entry policy and screening certificate paper work, once it opens its border next time? We are going through severe mental and financial pressure.

Please tell us (foreign students seeking entry in Japan) what should we do or can do to bring the matter to the attention of Japanese Government.

*Will there be anything be ever eased for us or things will continue to get onerous exquisitely?*

Thank You

It seems strange to include the parts on connecting verbs and i-adjectives but not mention na-adjectives and nouns. If I'm using stems like~ており、~く、do I just continue using で to connect nouns and na-adjectives as usual or is there something else that would fit the tone/context of the sentence better?

For example, does マリアさんは親切で頭がよく、美人です sound strange?
Would マリアさんは親切であり、頭頭がよく、美人である sound more natural?
