EDD fraud grows to $8 billion, includes alleged scammers from Moscow

California’s Employment Development Department has been an easy target for fraud, but the agency keeps fighting to crack down on bogus claims.

The California Business Roundtable found that of the $112 billion in benefits EDD paid out between March 2020 and Jan. 2, 2021, roughly $8.9 billion went to scammers.

A fraud ring in Moscow tried to scam EDD on the first day the agency implemented a new ID verification system last October, according to the Sacramento Bee.

EDD is doing 'Damage Control' as the DOJ, FBI and Grand Jury are 'following the money'. EDD Insiders and State Employee Union / Prison Guard Lobby are the kingpins on this scheme. They are looking for help from Kamala Harris, but she wants no part on this one. All of this is news to inmates who they are being blamed for this . EDD insiders were only using their names as recipients ( provided by Bureau of Prisons ? ) . EDD 20 years behind on computer upgrades, because yearly maintenance and upgrades are mainly used for raises, no work jobs and and outrageous pensions. FOLLOW THE MONEY

All the money earn by the edd agency & bank of america earnings charging citizens for using the debit fees. Both agency's should be held till this is fixed. This happen due to the downsizing of the edd agency. Which started after the crash. Why did our government decide to downsize a needed agency. Shouldn't we create jobs instead of shutting down needed position. This happen due to the federal and state government. Lining their pockets instead of doing what right.
