SnowRunner Phase 8 FARMING explained

SnowRunner Phase 8 farming exists. Here is my guide to it, based on the "content complete" Public Test Server version. When is the Phase 8 release date? I would guess in October, but nothing has been officially confirmed. I will update the article linked below with any new developments!

I’m wondering if this will eventually pivot to earth-moving machines actually moving the deformable earth of Snowrunner.

I am excited for this. I see it as baby steps towards being able to put in one of my longstanding wishes of a grader or something similar that can restore or repair terrain to smooth condition.

I’ve always wanted Snowrunner to move onto proper construction. Dozer’s, excavators, dump trucks, cranes. It seemed so obvious. Since Construction Simulation just came out, even more so. A missed opportunity. Had an absolute enough of grinding log deliveries over umpteen maps. That’s when I put my head in my hands and gave up. ‘6 medium logs to joe’s house’ over an hour per delivery and that’s not coming back either to pickup again and no garage right nearby. Man, pure pain

I wish you could do more construction related work. Gives more meaning to hauling heavy equipment if you get to use it

Sadly, they have missed the point with the farming. The yellow box and the automatic "well, you are pretty much done so now everything will be fixed for you automatically" ruins the whole thing. This is not for people who loves farming sims apparently, so who is this for? This company hates everything that's hard or precise.

Saber really dropped the ball on the farming aspect for me. If I had farming simulator level of detail for farming and snowrunners physics id be in heaven. But the way saber implemented "farming" is nothing short of an embarrassment

I really hope they fix at least some of them with phase 8 release.

The diff lock was a great addition for the tractors and I can't wait to use my potatoes to make some walkers cheese and onion...mmm

If snowrunner adds earth moving machinery it would then be one of if not the best game out there for physics

this is outstanding. just missing a base / house to chill. Or being able to customize our garage. I think it's the only thing missing in this game.

yeah. they should have stuck with trnasport missions. like big grain trailers to haul through difficult terrain. or hauling the tractors and equipment to their destination. this? meh. not so thrilled about
