I fully agree that some awesome lip liners and lip products are from the drugstore! Nude Suede shoes from NYX is still one of my most loved shades.
I also really enjoy Jaclyn, Charlotte, Huda& Melt Cosmetics lip liners 😌
I’m still in the process of getting ready to film my Jaclyn video with her newest Liners and that setting powder & spray. I’m oily combo so I’m hoping that it does a decent job on my skin… after noting that it left you too oily it kinda dropped my hopes a bit 😅

Love favs x fails! Definitely agree that the milk eye primer is hard to work with and fenty’s bronzer palette could have been better. I want to get my hands on the Laura Mercier blush, it looks super pretty!

And I don’t feel bad for having makeup because you said in a vid that was next up like “makeup is to set the tone/mood you want for your day” (paraphrasing you) but it was more than that and it’s like… lightbulb switch turned on moment in my brain. I literally was like “yes! That is why makeup is amazing and isn’t ‘fake beauty’ Carissa! You loved makeup 74% of your life for a reason. You stopped when you became single. Then you decided to get in again’. For some reason I couldn’t get back into it with much love/justifying the time. Now though I am seeing it differently. I think I needed to hear what you said with all of the judgmental “photoshop, plastic surgery, fake beauty, women afraid of aging, getting ugly, we attach our beauty to our worth, etc.”, causing me to be like…just not seeing the beautiful side and the fact that our worth being attached to our appearance is due to in my opinion more nature then nurtured by our environment and subcultures and well this isn’t about societal and pop culture beauty standards so I will end that sentence. But I haven’t made time for it even with new makeup. And I feel more to get back into it. Seeing it as away of self expression and MOOD for the day. I need to be work figure it out mood so that I shall. Thank you 💗🥲

I also love ur makeup skills and watch for makeup like huda color block palettes. There was only 2-3 when I saw them come out. It was you, another person, and one was actually “huda beauty spring 2022 mystery bag” which I thought was the colorblock idk but I found you that way and you did an in-depth review and I was offended visually by the purple and orange colorblock palette but you made a pretty sunset look and I saw it completely differently. No longer was I AS offended and it was the beginning of my still new journey into fashion I had no idea Wtf colorblock ing was.
