Dear friends and followers welcome back to sixth runway victory 2017 episode, the last episode before the actual "Tough mudder" run.
Four months are coming to an end, and I wanted to do one more final workout with my best mates to keep the motivation high for the day upcoming event.
Stephen, my friend and manager came up with the brilliant but brutal idea of doing a "Murph" workout. Murph is one of the hardest CrossFit workouts and feared by many athletes.
It´s a workout routine in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who saved numerous lives by carrying out injured soldiers in the Afganistan war. The workout consists of
1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
1-mile run
and all that wearing a 20-pound vest.
We quickly decided to cut the workout in half and without the vest. But trust me I´ve accepted the challenge and would like to do the entire workout (with vest) in the near future.

I also got the amazing opportunity to learn more about the German-based start-up company FITrate. They´ve been supporting the entire "Runway Victory Project" over the last few months. And what a great company. The key elements behind FITrate are, you have one FITrate membership card, which gives you access to over 500 (Munich) different gyms, outdoor boot camps, yoga-meditation classes and much more. The company is in a constant growth and are spreading throughout Germany. Remember seeing my Instagram stories at the CrossFit studio? That was all made possible by FITrate.

One of the things I was slightly worried about at the Tough Mudder, was the 18km run. I´ll have no problem running 18km on tarmac, but through forests and on sluggish single trails, that´s a whole other story. So, my friends and I headed out to go for a practice run along the banks of the river Isar. Thankfully Merrell who is a big sporting goods provider for "Tough Mudder" was so kind to send me a pair of their grippiest shoes in their collection. The grip you get going around tight corners on loose gravel is amazing. I was easily impressed.

But knowing this is the last week before the "Tough Mudder" was somehow nerve-racking but also I was so looking forward to that day. So it was very nice of the FITrate boys to join me for the last workout before heading to Wassertrüdingen a week later.

So enjoy this weeks episode and let´s see if all the hard work and effort pays off in the end.

Thanks for watching, all the best your "Captain" Joe

Yo my guy joe is securing the BAG, being a pilot which is easily 6 figures on its own with his experience, then he has a YouTube channel with almost 400k subs with a few videos a week and sponsorships on a lot of his videos, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was racking in 250 000 dollars a year

You still did not answer my question between a military flight helmet worn as compared to civilian type. I worked on base including the G.A.F , 5 Wing Goose Bay.

G'day Cap Joe.
Have you ever done a parabolic or zero-G flight? Either as a pilot or participant.
Have you ever experienced an extreme increase or decrease in G-forces during flight.
That would made a great video series blog from you.
PS- pole dancing is so hard.
