Is Adobe Creative Cloud worth the money? That's what I'll be talking about it in this video. I'm going to be breaking down the pricing and what comes with the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. And then I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on my own experience using it. What I think Adobe Creative Cloud is great for. And then at the end, I'm also going to share some free alternatives because I know Adobe Creative Cloud isn't for everyone, so be sure to skip ahead and watch the portions that are most interesting to you.

Hell NO, its not worth it. After 30 months paying for a AUD$80 pm plan. I just tried to cancel my account to find out there a penalty of $240AUD if I want to leave. WTF?? I am sure that in 2024 there are other alternatives. I am looking forward to cancel soon.

When I started paying for adobe cloud a few years back, it was only around $200 annually. I cancelled this year when I saw the annual price jacked up to $600+.

I mainly do CG/Video work, so my main alternative is Davinci Resolve/Fusion. It works great if not better for VFX work without immediately needing addons etc. For motion graphics work, After Effects is unfortunately still the defacto leader, but I found using Blender for this type of work is actually pretty viable and then exporting the animated elements to resolve does what I need it to do. Slightly bigger hastle, but I enjoy paying a 1-time price for Resolve and the free open source nature of Blender. At the original price I was fine paying it but jacking the subscription cost up 3x and adding basically nothing noteworthy was enough for me. Photoshop, Premiere and AE still run off of ancient code and are really in need of a complete rewrite, out of all my programs used Adobe has been the site of the most work lost due to crashing etc. I don't miss those programs 1 bit, and most indie studios/creators I know of have begun to switch to alternatives.

Is Adobe Creative Cloud worth the money? No.
Is it morally correct to pirate Adobe? Yes.
So, is Adobe software worth pirating? No.
Because there are better alternatives out there, both free and paid, which do not force you to burn your money away with SaaS ScaM subscriptions, and deserve your support more than Adobe.

I've been working on pirated copies for 3 years now after paying for subs for 6 yrs. I will never go back to a pay-to-rent type of sub when it comes to software. If it's not buy to own, I will pirate that.

it's so annoying, it is making my CPU on mac so high. it says 99% and I don't remember installing this. I use Adobe Acrobat but never signed up for this creative cloud. It is appears in my word documents which I never allowed. I don't even know what it does.

I have survived several years with a copy of PS CS5 and recently hasn't allowed me to use it for verification reasons or something, I am using a 7 day free trial of creative cloud for one purpose that I need done by December 30 for printing December 31 for a birthday on January 1....I'm not saving using the CC version ...I am using a saved photoshop file to build from for a collage if 12 photos but I don't think CC gives me the ability to do what I need as I am used to doing in CS5...btw, do you know if and where I may purchase a stand alone version of CS5 or newer

It all depends on which plan you are subscribing to. The All Apps plan, okay that's overkill I will admit that, because the majority of the apps you won't even use, depending on who you are. But if you're only going for the Photography Plan and are strictly a photographer and nothing else, it's actually not that bad. Because while yes there are viable alternatives to Photoshop (I personally like Affinity), you will be very hard pressed to find a 'viable' alternative to Lightroom because there isn't any.

You don't mention the cost of the credits you need to purchase for every photo you edit. Which video talks about the photography app alone and what you can do with it?

Today, after 7 years I chose to stop paying them and pirated their entire CC library. I think I've overpaid many times over, and not only that, the pirated versions are more stable than the ones I payed for.

Hi @John i loved the video! I just downloaded the Davinci Resolve in my computer (the free version). for some reason I can't start editing just yet....
It tells me that the GPU MEMORY is FULL, because of that; the video I downloaded to the app DVR isn't responding, what should I do to make it work?

For 10 years I've used Pinnacle 16. I want to jump start with more advance programs.
I'm not very good at this, but I want to learn.
If anyone could help me, I would so appreciate.
