Its funny how at the time, I thought the blu ray version looked amazing and couldn't get better. The 4k version without a doubt is a major upgrade and looks really good!

I love how the usage of HDR brings in more control of light giving you a more natural color tone but makes the out door shots with the Christmas lights more realistic looking, by the way I always had a crush on Catherine O’Hara and Elizabeth Perkins as a little boy.

So many movies get ruined depending on who does the digital art work on the 4k versions but wow the color artists that worked on this did an amazing job so worth the price up upgrade for such a classic iconic holiday movie . I just bought this a few days ago so glad I bought it now .

I'm definitely picking up a copy I've had the dvd version for so many years now and it's home alone which is one of my favourite christmas films and I'm hoping they do home alone 2 on 4K in the future

I’m still wondering when/if Disney will ever replace the old logos on the Fox back catalogue for their own releases. Lord knows they love removing the old nostalgic Disney logos in favor of the newest ones on their own properties.

I know that comparisons on YouTube can't give us a true sense of the differences that you'd see on a proper tv/setup, but even still the 4k version looks so much better.

Much better black levels and grain structure on the 4K. Also looks much clearer, even on my tiny little 1080p smartphone screen

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of 4K Transfer reselty make every scene appear it have been lifted up a little bit and then stretched out half an inch?

Is this supposed to be the "Original Uncropped" version of each film or a New Standed aspect-ratio?

Great stuff. It’s a shame that Disney have said that this disc will be among the last of its catalogue titles to be released in 4k on physical media.
Will we ever get to see ‘The Abyss’ or ‘True Lies’ or the rest of the ‘Alien’ films in 4k?
