Let’s be honest. He didn’t wanna sell himself short, so the label booted him. 2020 was not a revenue building time for new artists because live events weren’t happening but the labels were stacking off the streaming everyone is doing at home. He popped but couldn’t capitalize properly without a live event schedule to follow, aside from the fact that it’s a hard debut to follow when it gets that much play. You need features and endorsements that won’t have their full effect without on stage performances.
