Hi, Ms. Karen! I hope you create more content like this. You’re an excellent conversationalist and have an impressive ability to handle spontaneous discussions, especially on topics like this. As a viewer with no firsthand experience of what a prison looks or feels like, I could deeply feel the emotions you and Sen. Trillanes went through during those dark days.

Sen. Trillanes comes across as so humble, and I honestly can’t see how some people label him as arrogant, especially how DDS supporters portray him.

I was a college student when the Oakwood Mutiny took place. At the time, I remember disliking Trillanes a lot. I didn’t understand the situation, nor was I politically inclined back then. I was a staunch supporter of PGMA, mainly because we shared the same Kapampangan roots.

When I moved abroad, my perspective changed. That’s when I became more interested in our country’s government and social issues. I started reading articles - reliable ones, as fake news wasn’t widespread then - about our history. It was through these readings that I began to follow Trillanes’ story. It was an eye-opener. As a Filipino living abroad, I grew to appreciate what he stood for and what he was fighting for.

I voted for him in 2019 and 2022, and I truly hope he runs for a national position again. He will always have my support, along with his advocacy for a better Philippines. 🇵🇭🙏🏻
