Nonag is now in Totk because they actually implemented an auto carry over of your horses

Also, if you played BOTW and you had epona, Zelda’s horse, or gannons horse and had them registered then they will transfer over to TOTK if you are using the same account

100% man I was so sad about my horses then I opened up the stable

getting this horse to thr nearest stable led me to my first gloom hand's encounter, needless to say I panicked and left the horse for the nearest shrine/tower travel point

That was my first house in the game lol I named it after my dog 5 years ago but he died 4 months ago so the horse is really important to me

This is easier to do if you first defeat the Monster Forces at Fort Hateno. The game thankfully keeps track of the last unregistered horse you tamed through loading screens and even through saves, so you can dismount before arriving to Fort Hateno, quickly take care of the enemies, and then quickly go back to your horse and ride to the Dueling Peaks Stable.

You can optionally talk to the nearby Monster Control Crew for an easier fight and 100 Rupees if you did the "Bring Peace to Hyrule Field" side adventure beforehand.

Another thing I recommend is feeding the Giant Horse 10 Apples just after taming it. It will max out its Bond Level and thus make it a lot easier to ride on the long trek to the Stable.

I caught this horse and named it Ganondorf! Lol. I ended up running upon on the beach in the southeast of the overworld map. Pretty cool horse
