WIZARD'S STUDY AMBIENCE: Rain Sounds, Crinkling Sounds, Bubbling Potions

In this week’s video we’re getting a look inside a wizard-in-training’s living room where he’s studying for an upcoming exam. Halbert is his name, and he was top of his class last year. This year, however, he has some stiff competition on account of the new witch who started at his academy. Dixie Jane is her name, and she’s a master witch, her skills unparalleled. Even the elderwitches and elderwizards are intrigued by Dixie’s seemingly natural grasp on every facet of magic. Halbert suspects something else is going on, though. It might only be his bruised ego, but a part of him thinks there’s something fishy about Dixie, that she’s cheating somehow. So tonight, he won’t sleep. He will study and practice until he’s confident that he can reprise his role as the top student at his academy. Still, he can’t stop wondering about the witch and how she seems to have come out of nowhere, hellbent on showing him up. Halbert hasn’t missed the countless times Dixie turned to him with an evil gleam in her eye after one-upping him in class. But why? Who is Dixie, and how does she possess more power and skill than some of the best magicfolk in the world?

Oh, I love this one so much--especially the little colorful explosions over the Feather of Owl bag in the bottom left corner! Normally I don't like the wizard/witch ambiance scenes as much (just a personal preference---nothing wrong with them at all) but this one was really captivating. It was mystical, spooky (the nighttime woods outside were delightfully ominous looking), and whimsical all at the same time. Another masterpiece! :) (Also, these are getting harder to fall asleep to because I want to keep watching them so I force my eyes to stay open, lol. But seriously, these help me so much when I can't sleep, so thank you!)
