Ultimately the question becomes whether the force that causes all natural laws to be the way they are (no matter the level of understanding that we currently have of them) is a thinking, deliberate force that might still be around, or whether it is random happenstance. Both aren't demonstrably provable, because we would need a perspective outside of the laws of the universe we are in.

God is not a scientific test. If God is real, He cannot be falsifiable.

The problem with the Christians is honesty and rationality. Saying God hid bones in the ground is just absurd. It's these ridiculous answers that put Christianity in a poor light. As Christians we just need to get better at actually handling the questions.
