AOPA Editor at Large, Dave Hirschman takes the Tarragon for a flight. The Tarragon is another European model that could be flown as a light sport airplane in the U.S. under upcoming MOSAIC rules. It features a sleek design, carbon fiber construction, Garmin G3X avionics and the smooth-running turbocharged Rotax 915iS engine.

155 knots! I do that in my Thorp T-18 at a total cost of less than $50k!

lean modern planes are great but the greedy price creep is destroying the segment, now often costing well above 300k. These are simple lawn tractors, they should cost less than 100k. Of course that's difficult when Rotax is fond of their own precious greed of 40-50k$ for their little 1.2liter 4 cylinder.

It's great but us poor A&P mechanics can't do it 😢

Why does important content always have to be intentionally cluttered with distracting background noise?

It's very pretty...But tandem seating is not ever in my future. Love my wide side by side seating in my Bristell. Love the RG's.

Price tag? I bet you it is close to 1 million bucks. I cruise at 170 kts. true on my Falco F.8L. Thanks Tarragon, but I'll pass.

With Mosaic, will this be available as an LSA or Part 23 aircraft instead of an experimental? What about existing airplanes that will fall under new Mosaic rules? Can you If you equip one with all the required IFR items and are rated can you fly it IFR?

This is a joke just like the icon a5 amphibious seaplane. Neither can carry 2 people with full fuel. Way overpriced for what you get. Weak under powered engines. I can't put into words what garbage this is
