U.S. CDC cuts isolation period for asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has slashed the recommended COVID-19 isolation time in half — to five days from 10 — saying the decision follows evidence about when people with the virus are most infectious.

In a way they are admitting those previous recommended isolation periods (10 days, 14 days, etc) were all made-up with no data to back them up.

Imagine taking a test to see if you have a cold you dont have symptoms of . Pretty sure our shortages have been happening for decades. But yes stay home if you have no symptoms for a cold that's currently doing nothing. See a psychiatrist

Florida has zero restrictions and has the lowest case count in the US, even with a large portion of their population being retirees.

This story is a little misleading, the original story posted by The Associated Press says that “not all of the cases are going to be severe. In fact most cases are going to be asymptomatic.” But it includes all cases with symptoms or not.

That’s actually scientifically correct. Just before you get sick and just into the first wave or fever…. 10 days was way too long for most people with average immunity.

Should have never had to isolate anyways... never in 30 years have i seen people say oh im sick i better stay home hahaha used to see people with sniffles put shopping all the time..

I feel for those who end up in emergency rooms for non-COVID related reasons.
More virulent but less severe/deadly will still overrun hospitals and staff.

People are not cancelling anything, as a matter a fact they are bringing in the new year with the new ORGASM variant it last about 20 seconds and your good to go.
