Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.

This movie was a guilty pleasure. Was a lot of fun to see in the movies.

It always blew my mind that a team of people hunting the Meg, with a solid grasp of sharks in general, would be so loose about floating around in the water while hauling a GIANT dead shark that was leaving a trail of blood as the passed. Even if that was the end of the giant sharks, they were risking dozens if not hundreds of regular sharks chasing after the blood source.

0:08 Has anyone else noticed that the shark has seven gill slits instead of the five we see on other sharks? Those extra gill slits are features that are usually found on sharks that live in extreme depths in order to pass in more oxygen from the water; which does make sense considering the Megalodons from the franchise are capable of living in such depths. That’s actually an interesting feature that hardly anyone ever notices.

Watching this in cinema- the mega mega shark literally gave the audience all a jump scare. Half of my popcorn went flying lmao

The worst part of this scene is that the guy who fell into the water didn't die instantly from a bite, but was swallowed alive and probably died slowly in the shark's stomach.
