I needed this today as Orion is slowly slipping out of the northern hemisphere for another year. It’s my favourite constellation and I’m always sad to see it go !

I wish I had those beautiful nightskies here! sadly enough I live under bortle 8-9 skies in the western part of the Netherlands, so it's amazing that I can still see it through your video's. Thank you!

Glorious sights to see filled with many forms of nebulae and stretching over to Taurus too.

Suffolk UK in most rural part has gone exponentially from bottle 1 in 1980 to bottle 4 today. The milky way cast shadows when road signs had to be felt for names. Now both Ipswich and Norwich cast orange glow up into even the darkest sky. I once walked from Truro to Falmouth overnight and the trees cast shadows from the stars. The tint of the sky is going from orange to grey as led lighting takes over. Such a shame every barn conversion has dozens of hyper security lights to give rich city orphans peace of mind.

I live in Phoenix Arizona and the sky in the city sucks but I have a little land up on the Mogollon Rim near the New Mexico border and I can't freaking wait to finish assembling my astrophotography rigs. My place is in the middle of a juniper forest so it's super mega dark and it's at 7000 ft, has bortle 2 skies and the sky is so full of stars and different colors that it's almost enough to make you weep. I can't wait to retire and build my observatory. I have 2 HEQ5 pros, and I'm going to park Bonnie and Clyde on to piers and go look for God.

A few years back I had the privilege of witnessing activity bow out from around betelguise as I watched lazily from a 3rd floor window. We had had a micro burst type storm earlier in the day that I believe temporarily scrubbed the pollution out of the sky, and it was a night of a super moon which kind of lit up the few clouds (nocticulence). A sort of red glittery spray momentarily bowed out, and when I jumped up (because I couldn't believe my eyes!) to see better another split a second spray became visible. This, by the way, was with the naked eye, which made the experience all the more betelguise is quite active again, which made me think of my experience (which I carefully recorded in my journal back sometime around 2009 or2010). Love the night sky!

Pretty amazing. I have been doing astronomy for nearly a year now, and only in Bortle 8. How I would love to see those Bortle 3 skies with my big reflecting telescope!

Realmente essas são as melhores imagens que já vi de Órion. Parabéns. Devem ser equipamentos caros pra fazer isso, já o que eu faço com os meus aparelhos obsoletos eu já me contento. parabéns, lindo demais. adorei...

This is very interesting because I saw this with my naked eye about 10/22 at around 4:30 pacific in the Sw US I didn’t think anyone else would have seen it. It’s even more incredible that your video just happened to show up in my “recommended “ on YouTube because I do not follow astronomy channels

The nebulae seen in this video are just the three most prominent in Orion. There is a large collection of other nebulae there as well. In fact you could say that the ones we can see with our telescopes just may be part of a huge interstellar cloud that is located in Orion and even spills over into other neighboring constellations.

I live under Bortle 6 skies but can easily get to Bortle 4 and with a bit more difficulty 3 and 2 and the contrast between 6 and 2 is amazing but I don't think as much between 4 and 2.I don't normally get to 5 skies as there's not much point assuming if you go further you end up in 4.Don't think that I have any Bortle 9 skies but sadly 8 and 7 aren't too far away.
