no one is talking about "engine" of Warzone 1...the shield breaking sound, hit marker sound, kill sound..that were so nostalgic

Redeploy Balloons/Drone are literally the worst thing to ever happen to Warzone if you ask me. The constant threat of players dropping from above only further restricts desired movement on the map until absolutely necessary. I want to feel like a soldier running across a great land again.

They need to make snipers one shot from any distance. That for me was what I enjoyed most from WZ1. I miss the SPR and HDR

Yeah Verdansk was awesome but it was like 25% of the fun. The rest was MW19's guns, feeling and basically all the other systems. Verdansk as a map will mean nothing in the context of Warzone 2.0, which is arguably far inferior to Warzone 1

Reduce slide distance by 50% and remove all animation delays, fix bullet velocity on weapons. We know they can’t go back to the OG engine. These are a few things they can do to achieve something similar

The sad truth is the main thing to come out of this will be the answer to the question "what would it be like to take a pure playing experience from 2020 and cram it full of broken pay-to-win grindy mechanics from 2025"

Doesn't matter what Map they bring back, it all means nothing until they fix the anti cheat and all the glitches and bugs

So I just want all you COD fanboys to realize something. When COD started dying around 2017-2018 they had to return to form and created one of the greatest CODs to date in mw19. They made their money from it, immediately fell back into their old ways and now, 5 years later are going to use mw19 to rebound their franchise AGAIN. You’re all sad.

Bring back wz1 vehicles, take out redeploy balloons, increase bullet velocity, buff weapons instead of nerfing them all until they’re all bad, take out swimming, fix your trash servers, fix your anti cheat

Frankly it all means nothing if the anti-cheat isn't working and they don't stop out of region players hacking

Unless they overhaul the anti cheat, update/fix the servers, address the audio and visuals and fix the wonky movement it won’t matter what verdansk does. I played warzone since day one back in 2020, I’m stoked for verdansk but the map won’t save Warzone.

Westie - while I am excited for this and really looking forward to the nostalgia, I can't help but think that a significant part of the magic of the OG Warzone was it being a circumstance of the time. The game provided many of us with a form of social connection outside of our family bubble when we couldn't even leave our homes. That, thankfully, is no longer the case but I've always believed that the huge original success of the game was it being a product in the right place at the right time - a perfect storm. It will be interesting to see just how big a part this played in its player base when this latest version launches with none of those societal factors present. In other news, two good friends of mine (we met online in Warzone, played together every day - they fell in love and are now living together - she is from Kazakhstan and he is from Belgium) are visiting me in Ireland later this week - show me another video game that could do that! Literally life changing!

BTW I just saw a video of Rebirth Island (current play - March 16th 2025)..the sounds are an absolute mess. I swear it sounds like elephants stampedes..the gun fire sounds like it is right next to you..but in fact it is all across the map. I mean...that game WAS perfect in MW3. They have literally destroyed that game...These DEVs have NO business in the COD space...they all should be fired.
