Playground Games lost their Immersion Mojo after 3, I loved the intro videos they had for the trio to make you feel you’re in an entirely new world and they made you feel you were part of it. 4 on the other hand feels like a arcade game you play at Dave & Buster’s just to get 100 tickets, it literally throws you in and that’s all. YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND.

I‘m still hoping that Horizon 2 and 3 will be supported by the Series X FPS Boost feature in the future. 30fps is painful imo

Got a bit late during the premier but rewatched the whole video, really amazing work and a very nicely done comparison. I definitely agree that Forza Horizon 2 is leagues above Horizon 4 when it comes to the car sounds which is definitely a huge crucial part of the heart of the racing games. Really hope that the devs bounce back from the bad sounds that we had on FM7 and FH4 and we get better sounds on the next gen Forza titles. Looking forward for Forza Motorsport

FH2 is still my favourite title. It sounds the best, has the best story and map and looks waaay better then every other title. Too bad I can’t play it on pc :(

I mean they could just take take FH2, make it 4k and 120fps, fix some bugs, do some small extra features like the quick car change option and sell it as FH5. I think everyone would be happy lol

What i find the most annoying about fh4 is that when you start up the game for the very first time, it is soooo special! Right at the drop of sunrise by fred V and Grafix, you get thrown in to a new Mclaren Senna, drum'n bass music blaring, quotes that I find so iconic. Such a shame that playground games didn't rrally continue the love they put in ti this game at the start.

8:15 wait back up... Horizon 2 does indeed have the feature of switching cars on the fly anywhere on the map, if you pause and press RB to get to the my cars section, there's a button that says change car. (at least this is present on the xbox360 version of the game)

Another big thing is progress and story:

In fh2, even though it had a simple story, it was enough for me to enjoy it. Seeing my friends drivatars driving to the next championship, and actually seeing some stats about them, you drive carefully and the best as you can to earn points to win championships and eventually being a Horizon champion. A lot of those features were deleted or changed: in fh4 you still need to become a horizon champion, but the way you earn it is different: you need to gain xp and "fans" to become a horizon champion, unlocking the new races, seasons and the last big races. The head-to-head races are not that important anymore, in fh2 you'd unlock xp, money and stuff. In fh4 you just only do them to unlock the street races (which btw are nonsense, you'd drive a tuner car and besides you is a drift car, a rally car and a Pagani). The skill points also got changed, from fh2 where you could unlock new items/options in general, to fh4 where you can spend your skill points in the car mastery trees, on each single car. Things like those are minor things that can't develop a certain end to the game, without giving you the same satisfaction of completing the game as fh2.

The progress is another big thing: in fh2 you start with either a BMW Z4 sDrive35is, a Toyota Supra RZ or a Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe, all of them are actually "starter cars" in a way, in fh4 however you can start with either a Ford Focus RS, a Dodge Charge R/T from 1969 or an Audi TT, and then you keep getting new cars, wether it's for off-road, cross-country events. And you can unlock a Huracan 14' at tier 4 Of the road racing events like _bruh_
In fh4 you can unlock high end sports cars/rally cars/and even hypercars on a short period of time, compared to fh2 however when it's more difficult to get yourself a supercar in your hands, and that's why they created the Bucket List, accepting some challenges with the rarest most unique cars in the world, giving you the opportunity to drive around with them.

i've always played on the 360 version and it's crazy to see how the two versions are so different. even though it's hella glitchy and lacks of a lot compared to the xbox one version, i still feel like it competes with fh4. u should make a video on your impression on the 360 version😂

FH2 was the BEST Forza Horizon game I also really like FH3 a lot too. FH4 is kinda "dumb" but it still is a good game don't get me wrong I like but it gets BORING. FH2's map and CAR SOUNDS are AMAZING, but FH4's was a bit dull and car sounds were stupid.
Man I want a Series X, LOOK AT THOSE LOADING TIMES!!!!

Ok, so basically about just 1 out of 10 cars shown in this comparison sound better in FH4 than FH2, also FH4 definitely has less "soul"

The sense of speed comparison is a bit off. In one side, you have 30fps and motion blur, on the other side you have 60fps without motion blur
