Like a few others have said, I’m so glad to hear this! I lost 85 pounds and am really enjoying styles that I didn’t feel confident wearing when I was heavy. Skinnies are SO comfortable and I like how I look in them. I don’t do the super skinnies, just standard ones. “Trendy” isn’t exactly how I’d describe myself, anyway. 😂

As someone who is pear shaped, thank you for validating my choice to still wear skinny jeans in 2023! I’ve spent the past two years searching for alternative jean styles, but nothing suits me as well as skinny jeans, though I’ve found that some slightly straighter legged styles can be ok.

Skinny straight jeans are going to be all the rage in 2023 they are not going anywhere women love them! I love wearing blue jeans skinny straight leg jeans to!❤️

Im a hourglass, and im gonna say the "unspeakable truth" it's not easy to dress an hourglass too. General media says anything you wear would look good but it's not the reality. Skinny jeans are always a winner for me. Let them continue please 🥺

Man i loved this video so much! I actually came in here after the reading the title to say yes I'm wearing skinny jeans in 2022 because i like them and they're flattering! But then i watched the full video and you said it better than me. Earned a subscriber 🤩

Here to say as a bottom-heavy hourglass that I never gave up on skinny jeans once I got used to them over a decade ago - they're the only shape of jeans that don't make me look like a frumpy box! Thanks for the affirmation 😄😄

Thank you! I lost almost 100 pounds and, for the first time in my life, I finally look good in skinny jeans. Love your Irish accent.

This advice has made me so happy. I am in the "slow" process of de-cluttering my skinny jeans and pants. As an hourglass I am so happy that I don't need to donate them.

You talk sense! I have just subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for talking common sense, not trends!

Thanks so much for this message! I am moderately pear-shaped and 5'9. I've always been told I have long legs but when I recently calculated my proportions I figured out that I actually have a long torso! I have a long inseam but that's just because I'm tall. This finally explains why every time I try to wear boyfriend or cropped wide leg jeans it feels like something is off. I've always loved my skinnies and after listening to you I will keep them in my wardrobe, but my recent shift has been to a bootleg cut. It's still gives me the flattering curve hugging form at my hips but balances out my pear shape. Bootcuts to me are the perfect "skinny". 😉👍Great info! Thank you!!!

Just found your channel and you are fabulous!! I have been trying to find trendy jeans and they look awful on me. I have a pear/rectangle body shape and skinny jeans look best. You have just saved me a great deal of anxiety and money! Thank you!!

My Gen Zer is 15 and she loves them ! She said they make her look like a woman … she wears other things but she looks cute in skinnies . I am 5’1 and Hour glass and I get lost in baggies so they are the most flattering on me

Helpful video. I keep coming back to skinnies because although I’m inverted they don’t swallow up my small hips and bum like the baggy styles (which make me look frumpy). As you’ve explained it’s my long torso that’s the reason. I just have to add balance through my shoes instead. Petite Dressing has a great video on this too.

I love your videos! Thank you. I was watching your "Dressing for the Pear Shaped body" video. In this video, you said that you should avoid skinny pants because it adds to the hips. In this video, you said that skinny jeans look great! What are your thoughts for someone who has a longer torso and thick calves with no ankles?!

Wow, you are speaking my language. I keep hearing no skinny jeans, must go to bootcut. I am almost 73, dry fast & fast, am now a sz 2 down from a tight 10 20+ years ago, (the 2s were loose when I got them) and I have an hourglass figure, look 20-25 years younger than I am, why would I stop wearing my skinny jeans? I love them awith bit of sparkle/embellishment btw. If it ever gets cold enough to wear my boots I can get a bootcut pair, the skinnies fit right into my ankle boots tho. If you got it flaunt it right? Thx so much, happiness!

Pear shape here as well and kind of struggling with choosing an "up to date" jeans. Currently loving a boyfriend slim high waist and also a slim straight from M&S. I don't want to part with my skinnies just yet though!

My issue is that I’m 5ft 8” and skinny hourglass and legs are double my torso length. I’m a size 6 top and 8 bottom. Whenever I buy jeans, the leg fits, but the waist is always way too big. I can’t ever seem to find jeans that fit my proportions. 🤦‍♀️
