this was a great video for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2019 SE. I second the below comment, if there is dust or damage from a minor accident, the old tail light may take some elbow grease to remove with a screwdriver/pair of pliers. Otherwise his video is spot on! Great stuff YOUCANIC!

Very useful, just a note though if enough dust settles behind the light it can create an adhesive effect that you will need a screwdriver to lever it free. 😅

For anyone needing to replace the inner taillight:
Job time approx 30 minutes.

1. Open up the boot, working outwards, remove the inner most plastic trim using a pry tool or alike tool on the interior of the boot door, the side pieces, & then the final piece (This information can be found on a YouTube video)

2. The taillight housing is attached to a bolt which requires using a fitted socket wrench to remove.

3. Remove the electrical plug the housing is attached to

4. From the outside, pull the old light off (take care if broken)

5. Reseat and connect the new tail light unit

6. Using the socket wrench, tighten the tail light bolt back on

7. Put the plastic pieces/trim back in the respective order.
