I've been holding out on watching these videos until I saw the film because I was afraid to see spoilers in the comment section lol. Figure looks awesome.

I know you're disappointed with the chain but it's actually pretty accurate. In A New Hope, it's not an actual chain, just a black strap that is shaped to look like a chain.

the cape chain is accurate to the films, what was used in the films is a plastic aglok chain usually used in gardening. It's also just black in the film.

Chain for cape is accurate- dark grey/Black plastic-ky material.... same as used for A New Hope. For Rogue One however, I'm not sure... it seems Gareth Edwards went with the ANH material... as he wants it to be as accurate as possible to the original.

Vader's chest box never actually lit up until Empire Strikes Back... I have the New Hope Vader, and I have to say...while it is impressive in it's own right, this just looks...amazing. The soft plastic gloved hands are so much better then the velcro cuncoction on the New Hope version. New Hope Vader has wires in the tunic, but even so I found it very hard to make them look like they hang naturally. I removed the wires and the effect is still no different really, just easier to move with less irritation of the wires. The reason the shoulder armor on your Vader is stuck at the front is because there is a velcro strip holding it on. The New Hope version doesn't have this but the shin guards are held on with velcro strips rather then straps like yours. It definitely seems like the body on the Rogue One Vader is easier to pose. New Hope Vader has a thick suit, and while i can pose him its not that extensive like you had with the two-handed saber pose. Anyway...blah blah blah...enough from me. Great figure, great review, sir.

Geez another Vader...I am waiting for HT to do a Empire/Jedi version...but this is Beautiful. I will be seeing the Movie here in NZ on Thursday so will hopefully get a good look at Vader and compare the Accuracy...but really nice overall...Thanks for sharing,

Great review. The chain is not silver and couldn't be seen in the first film although it was there.

The original chain was a solid piece of plastic...molded to look like chain links

Man I have never been a fan of Star Wars. But I do love Darth Vader.
I love your review on this figure though your true light review background pianomusic made me sleep. I wasn't planning to get one but then I saw ANH version in person, I liked it even though it was kinda chubby. and I knew this Rogue one version came out recently and there was the sideshow version too. so I saw all the reviews I can find. But your reviews om this figure made go for the Rogue one version. Sideshow version looked too skinny and plastic. But the Rogue One ver was perfect I was never voice thing on ANH and the light up light saber I don't even light up my Hot toys Iron man figures.. So Rogue One Vader for me it is :)

Great video. All the forum's are saying that this is generally the best Vader to date. Of course the guys with the ANH Vader will disagree, however they both look great in my opinion.

The chest box was not lit for A New Hope. So no version of A New Hope or indeed Rogue One Vader will be lit. As I understand the crew had trouble making it light up in the first film.

Awesome Figure!! I still kinda lean toward The New Hope version, but this looks better than what i thought it was going to. Glad you got your Vader : ) and hopefully this doesn't start you down the path I did ( just wanted Vader and ended up doing all Star Wars Hot Toys lol ) hope your doing well my friend, keep up the good work.

That cape chain is 100% accurate. It's black and a plastic material. NOT silver or metal.

I have the new hope version I think it looks spot on to be fair.one tusk is meant to be missing that's screen acurate and so is the plastic chain around his neck it's not a real chain that's bang on how it is in new hope check the first 5 mins of film where he speaks to leia for the first time. so is the weathered mask also screen acurate to anh.

I was just wondering, I didn't watch all your videos, but you seem to have let go of all your Iron Man HT figures. I would like to know why?
You really pick all the figures I'd like to buy, apart from some I wouldn't consider (Jolie's Maleficient for instance), I share the same tastes.

This Vader looks gorgeous, easily the best I've seen, another great pick! Keep up the good work man.
