Awesome review. Always love getting more Vaders. Thw unmasked heads color is impressive. The idea with making a display out of the bases would be badass. Would be interested in seeing someone do that. TK421 Collectables luckily managed to get another light up head sculpt.

Best OT Vader out the box with respect to the source, that’s for sure. If the nose plug was larger, the triangular vent was smaller and if the tusks weren’t angled downward, it’d be spot on. Proportions, tailoring and cape material could’ve been better but it’s on par for Hot Toys (subpar).

Overall, I’m really looking forward to getting it. However, I’ll be converting it to a TESB version since TESB Vader is my definitive OT Vader but the ESB Vader figure’s helmet sculpt was awful, so this is a nice upgrade. Glad they actually enhanced it vs reusing the same ESB mold.

The definitive version of Darth Vader. Episode VI's (original trilogy) most iconic version of Vader with the headsculpt, lights and great proportions. Materials (pleather) are the only thing that could be better.

I figured I would use that light up head as the "Halloween" Vader. And then go back to the the unhelmet head. Since I have 40thESB and the SS RoTJ Vader.

Great video. I am torn between which head piece to display on mine. Will probably go with the head sculpt but the light up helmet is pretty cool too. This is my 5th Vader with more to come so its good to have options. Keep putting out great content.

That tattoo looking Vader logo is old. Part the episode 3 marketing if I’m not mistaken - and was used for stickers and ancillary things and if not from 2005, is at east a few years old.

I was kinda disappointed they didn’t do a ‘full’ portrait like with the 1/4 scale. It’s an OC thing, I guess, but that said, it’s a really cool Vader. Looking forward to the FULL PORTRAIT crispy Anakin version to come and, in the meanwhile, I’ll content myself with the 1/4 scale. This is a magnificent Vader to be sure.

The best Vader for me and which I describe as love at first sight and that I just can't wait to have it in hand is the yet to be released Hot Toys Battle damaged one. That for me is the best Vader ever, it will be my first Vader and to me, the definitive one.

I want to update Vader, I have HT ESB, what do you think which one is better to take, dx 28 or MMS700? Both are very good, and according to reviews I like them...

great review again. waiting for mine to hit The Netherlands...stopped buying directly from PC..somehow with shipping and taxes they are more expensive than buying from a Dutch reseller. Anyway this Vader looks awesome and looking forward to pose him up unmasked supported by ROTJ Luke walking towards the landing platform.
