The FAA and NTSB are investigating a May 25 incident in which a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 Max went into a motion known as a "Dutch roll" during a flight from Phoenix to Oakland. The plane landed safely. Separately, the FAA is investigating whether falsified documents may have been provided for titanium sold to Boeing and Airbus.

Boeing should be punished to not let this happen again. This should never have happened.

The “Dutch Roll” sounds like it happened with the auto-pilot in control and not a pilot error, that’s why they when back to Boeing.

As an avgeek, these comments show how little most people know about aviation

why did they even put those planes back in operation? If I ever see that is a plane assigned for my flight, I won't get on!

It’s crazy that this company gets to gamble with our lives with little to no consequences.

I'm not flying my family on Boeing. Airbus only.

What is a Dutch roll exactly? Can you explain that to non- aviators? Is it an extreme bank or something like that? What are we talking about here? I only question things because it's the news. I feel like a lot gets left out.

"Dutch Roll" has got to be the least naughty term I've ever heard beginning with the word "Dutch".

At least if it had been a camelback type motion, the passengers would have gotten great airtime. But a Dutch roll is just weak.
