Always easier to pull tank. You already have seat pulled & one bolt holding it. No risk to getting crap on bike.. Makes it so much easier to clean out & fog prior to re install, there are several cleaners I have used & worked, but never with tank installed . Good Video .

Please do not take it the wrong way I have seen your videos & your quality of work. I as well have worked for years on CT-70, s & Z-50, s. We all have our ways of doing things, and special tricks & techniques refurbishing & repairing these things. For me and my age ergonomics are the key. On a bench or lift. I have several chemicals to alleviate rust.. Mild rust like your dealing with yes mild solutions. But you have probably seen tanks so rusted, chemicals & ball bearings seem to work. But when I looked at that nice K5. I would still remove and clean at my bench. Thanks

that's what I do to my xr75's but theres a soft film I cant get out any suggestions on getting to it all?..the tank is really tight to get to inside especially the '74 on up...
