I've posed this question to many others and you have finally given me the answer I had been seeking. Thank you! All I wanted to know is the possibility of non-carbon based life forms.

Other life forms most likely have completely different dna (if dna at all and maybe a unknown kind of new chemistry). Who knows what kind of alien elements that don't exist here lay out there. Maybe these other-worldy creatures would be like magic to us because they would be so unique and thought to behave and look in impossible ways.
