For those who don’t understand, the guy in this video John Casterline is a well known short video creator. He makes funny videos reading memes and tweets. He seems normal but the story behind “The Void Incident” is anything but that.
He has been creating videos since around 2021. He started off making videos not too far off from the ones he makes now. He shared tweets and funny pictures as well as made jokes. He started gaining attention because of the short content that was interesting and funny. Most of his videos featured him in his room or greenscreened on top of a image or tweet. You can see this if you go back to his old videos. He seemed overall normal and didn’t have much of a difference from other content creator during that time. After a while everything changed.
Around 2022 Johns videos began to change. The funny memes or stories obviously stayed the same but one thing did change. It was something so little that it wouldn’t seem scary or unsettling in the slightest. Right? Well yeah, to some viewers it did seem that way. It was innocent, all that changed was that his background was completely black. Some would nickname it “the void”. Most people found it funny, it was something to brand him and show that he was more concerned on the content itself then the background. But some were slightly concerned.
It took me a while but I finally found the truth. You might want to sit down for this. In this video we see John having a nice life outside of “the void”. He’s wearing nice clothes and enjoying his life. But then, one day everything changed. John was walking by a lake, he had drove quite far out to find it. If you search hard enough, you can still see his car, just outside of the woods. He had taken a small hike through the woods to a lake with swans. It was around sunset when he reached it. He took a video showcasing the lake and the sunset. It was pretty at the time. Then he turned to return after enjoying a dinner by the lake. He walked through the woods and was about halfway there when he came across a path. He didn’t think much of it before hearing a noise. You can hear it when walking past the area, it sounds a bit like a hurt animal maybe a bird or a rabbit. He, being the kind and caring person he is wanted to go help it. He turned off the path to look for it and found a tunnel like area in the grass. It was the source of the sound. I doubt he decided to head it because unless he was a mad man he would think it unwise to go into a tunnel. I can confirm that John was grabbed, he was grabbed by a black shadowy hand. Most likely grabbed by the leg where he was dragged into the void.
Now we can see that John never leaves the void. He is stuck there, it seems with no escape. Where exactly did John go? Thats the real question that even he probably asks. There is just one answer to that question. He is in the void.

For those who don't know, the void incident is when you feel like your life is super boring. It feels empty and you get paranoid thinking that you're in a life devoided of meaning and that you can't escape.

I just read the whole book about the void incident (see second comment) and I’d like to give an update. John has recently escaped the void. In his videos the void slowly started getting brighter and brighter until we could actually prove that he has escaped finally! And to top it off one of his more recent videos shows him at what I think is the Super Bowl!
