Narodowa Galeria Sztuki Zachęta is not only one of the oldest exhibition institutions in Poland, founded on December 13, 1860 but Zachęta's building itself is a cultural gem. Designed by Stefan Szyller and erected in 1900, it's a prime example of Art Nouveau architecture and has been meticulously preserved, contributing to the overall aesthetic experience for visitors.

It's one of the most prestigious and largest contemporary art galleries in Poland. It has hosted numerous exhibitions of famous Polish and foreign artists, including Jan Matejko, Józef Chełmoński, Stanisław Wyspiański, Józef Mehoffer, Paul Cezanne, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Katarzyna Kozyra, and many others.
