That squirtle one was good because when it becomes wartortle and blastoise it actually starts to look more purple like the squirtle on the left, I’d know cuz I’ve own one

I have mastered these 😂 usually it’s almost always the darker colored one and if the Pokémon is already a light color it might be a little bit lighter than the normal Pokémon

Tbh the best way to tell on these is to look for the one that’s been photoshopped and had it’s colors messed around

Did you know... Ekans is purple like Mewtwo's tail... and the shinies are the same color too... so its practically confirmed to be an Ekans chomping on his crotch

The fact I got squirtle right makes me happy. I remembered it doesn't match its evolutions and one of those looks like it's evolutions.

The trick with almost all of these is to pick the one which looks worse, and it works 95% of the time

the strat still works. gamefreak just does the same thing for most shinies. and it's recognizable.

This is easy because the 3D models lose a lot of hue and contrast. You should do this with the 2D sprites

I knew the first one had to be a pale green because Ekans normally is a pale purple. And ofc I knew shiny Oddish, iykyk
