Animatic to Animation - SYFY 'My Genre, My Story' #pride

A year ago I was selected by SYFY and Tongal to create a short video about myself and my relationship to genre storytelling, and the ways it has impacted and shaped my understanding of my own identity. In honor of Pride 2023, I've decided to upload the video here with a bonus side-by-side of the original animatic that became the template for the animation.

More importantly, I felt compelled to share this because, lately, it feels like an especially scary time to be a queer person, particularly for non-binary and transgender youth. To all of those feeling anxious or worried about the future, those in and out of the closet, know that you're not alone and that you are loved and valued.
