Sony G 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 Portrait Photoshoot in the City

Hey everyone! I have a new video from Poznan, Poland. This time I decided to use my Sony G 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 lens for portrait photography on my Sony A7IV. This is a lens you would typically use for wildlife or sports photography, so it was fun trying to use it for something different with the added challenge of using a long lens on narrow city streets. Let me know which ones are you favourite photos in the comments and if you'd like to see more "challenge" style videos like this!

It's very interesting how you were able to bring such an amazing result.
I do want to mention that even though the lens has more compression than most of portrait lenses you were able to show more of the location!!

Super fun to see you demonstrate 200-600mm lens for portraits.

"Oh my arms". I feel that for sure! I don't shot portraits of people but that lens is amazing for wildlife like you mentioned. Thanks for showing us what it can do with people portraits. Cheers.

Oh lol this came right after a random youtube short on lens compression. Fascinating. Might break my old 100-300mm out tomorrow and get a few portrait pics to play around!

Thank you, Julia. I just love long lenses for creating compression. It was terrific to watch you use compression do effectively in your work. Great stuff.🎉😊

Just invested in one of these for wildlife myself although my preferred lenses are for portraits …possibly a monopod would be a great aid helping with stability … looking forward to using mine as soon as the weather allows thank you for sharing

This is inspiring me to do some photo shoots with the 200-600 on my a6700, aka the 300-900.

Definitely my favorite look of all of your lenses so many shooters,
long lenses were the STANDARD for fashion photography during the 1990s and 2000s .
Often a 300 f2.8.

Absolutely stunning! Great photos and stunning model. I love how comfortable she is in her skin! Gorgeous! As crazy as this sounds but this might be one of my favorite lenses for your work. You’re a beast to handle that lens all day 🤪whew!

I loved every single photo you showed on this video and I'm proud of you for not using the trees🥰🥰🥰

I have the 200-600mm G lens and that would be the last lens I would use for portraits unless I was trying to do a silhouette sunset shot where I was trying to compress the background or something like that. The 200-600mm is a great lens at a great price. But, I think I'll leave it at home if I'm doing portraits.
