Comparing the Trangia spirit burner against the Redcamp alcohol burner

Welcome to my new channel!!! I compared the trangia spirit burner against the redcamp alcohol butner. Fuel is yellow can HEET. In a nutshell the Trangia spirit uses more fuel faster, but the Chinese knock-off Redcamp burned for 3 minutes longer. Both burners did not leak any fuel when the cap was placed on them.

Could have something to do with the extra smaller holes in the Redcamp. Obviously it has wicking. It's the holes.

I'm not sure about that, you never showed how long the redcamp actually took to bloom

For those who are saying that he put less alcohol on the trangia you can go ahead and watch many videos the trangia always goes out first. Now i have never seen redcamp lasting that long

If you put the same amount of fuel into both stoves then it follows that the heat output from the Redcamp knockoff must be lower than the Trangia. The simmer ring can be used to increase the burn time of the Trangia. On the issue of bloom time, Trangia put a wick in the fuel tank which decreases bloom time, most knockoffs don't. All the best.

Good video did you put thw water on after the burners nloomed and how much sooner did the transgia bloom before the redcamp I have both of these nurners and with minr the transgia blooms in 30 seconds where the redcamp can take up to 3 mins.

Just checked Amazon. Redcamp is a dollar cheaper and comes with a stand. Great item to put in my wife's "Get home bag"!! BTW, you have a very familiar voice. Is your other channel NewsNowOKC? I so, I watch everyone of your vids. Just subbed this channel.

2 cups means what exaclty? How many ml of water did you get to boil? It's a shame you didn't measure the boiling time...

Two things, 1. Use a timer and thermometer, 2. Mount the camera. A moving camera quickly becomes annoying. With it moving, viewers cannot concentrate on anything specific as it moves off plain.

I think the Trangia has an internal wick and the RedCamp doesn't.
