Congratulations Kay, as you may be aware by now, Hoover at Pilot Debrief (another YouTube channel) used your fuel consumption issue (after your magneto replacement) and subsequent landing at an alternate airport as a text book example of how to handle an “emergency” in flight. All of his comments about your flying technique, procedures, etc., were absolutely positive and supporting. His channel typically focuses on things pilots did wrong that ultimately caused an accident, and in most cases, fatalities. But in his recent video you were the example of how to do it right. You are a consummate aviator! Love watching your channel!

"What's the difference between an approch and an arrival?" Is a good question! One simple way I like to describe it (which helps most people understand the general difference) is that an arrival is to get you near the airport, and the approach is to get you onto the runway.

Allie seems to retain details and has a quick grasp of things. If Kay does teach her she'll be a good one. Actually, this was a very good teaching flight; as good as I've seen. She's throwing the real complexity of flying at her.
