Trust me on this, dear children, the end of a toxic relationship is a blessing. Might not feel like it while we're going through it, but in time, if we're willing, God shows us clearly that it was, and helps us not to make the same self-destructive choices again.

Probably because it doesn't talk much about the impact the man had, but more what the woman is going to do about it going forward. She's not crying anymore, she's over that. There's such an "I don't give a shit" aura to this song that it's super empowering.
