International singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Mumbai, Samuel Peter Gladson had a dream since his childhood : to become a drummer and a cool motorcyclist. But life changed for him, when he got diagnosed with tuberculosis which had damaged 60% of his lungs. He was told that he couldn't even play a flute, which actually was quite easy to play. After the operation he was left with a hole on either of his lungs and he still lives with it ! But none of it stopped him from pursuing his dream-The Music. He wanted to go, beyond the elements.
Peter Gladson believes that music is a god-given talent. By the age of 17, he himself could play more than 35 instruments ! He got the idea to assemble all the instruments as one from his friend which really worked out, and thus he's really glad and honoured to be the first and only one-man band in India and among the only 140-150 people across the world to do this ! Thus he learnt and wished to give the message to everyone that no matter what, we should never give up on our dreams and passion, and only then we can achieve whatever we wish for.
For the fourth edition of TEDx KIIT University, Peter Gladson displayed his talent as the One Man Band, playing his various songs, among which was "It's Cool" which he loved. He believes that life's full of struggles and difficulties for all, but in the end, it all turns out okay and "it's cool".
