Reacting To SAD-ist's Ozymandias (FOR THE FIRST TIME)

The point of this poem is that in the end, no one will know or care who your were and what you did. Ozymandias, Ramses the great, was a king of kings in his day, a god; and even he is forgotten. Quite literally the sand of time have buried him and his city, and whatever good he did is lost to time. Nothing besides remains.

One of the things about this vid that absolutely murders me is that while most of sad-ists animations are set to music and give an air of energy like a war or a battle

"Ozymandias" is a animation about doomsday, where there was no battle or an air of energy
It was a tragedy through and through and the animation reflects that with the subdued tone and the sense of unease that is present in the animation itself and the audio used.

its been a few years since I studied the poem so I might be a bit off but Ozymandias was basically a poem about a traveler who came across a ruined statue with nothing but the feet of a man standing on a pedestal that read the whole "my name is ozymandias king of kings" thing
So it was essentially Ozimandias bragging at the time that this statue was originally sculpted about how great he was and how you should despair after seeing his achievements, but the irony is that the city and the statue are in ruins for whatever reason and all that remains of his "great achievements" is a pair of feet and a poem praising himself
Sad-its connected the poem to Wilbur creating his "Great Lmanburg" but it was still destroyed later just like the city of Ozymandias

The reason why philza has one of his wings broken because in SAD-ist animations Philza tried to protect wilbur from the explosion when he pressed the button in November 16th

"King of Kings" part, it was Eret's crown, Jschlatt's* horns nd Dream's smile

The King of Kings symbolizes the hat as wilbur, crown as eret, horns as jschlatt and the smile for dream. The once rulers that have fallen from being all mighty.

Pretty sure this is the reading from Breaking Bad! I love this poem, it's one of my favorites! Love SAD-ist's empty, melancholy feeling for Doomsday, it contrasts in a really interesting way to the crazy action that went down.

You guys seemed kinda confused when techno was shown with the shadow over him at 0:56 and 2:40 -- that was the shadow os what they used to rain tnt down on L'manburg, it was this big grid pattern in the sky that held the tnt until Dream pushed a button

I like that they showed Techno walking because he probably knows this poem just considering how much mythology he talks about.
And I imagined he had told the story of the statue to someone who is reading this. It makes sense that he was the only one left because as we know, he never dies.

I loved the somber attitude of this one. Even though the actual events were loud and noisy, this shows the destruction of L'manburg for what it truly was: not a war, but an execution.

This is Doomsday, when Dream, Techno and Phil blew up L'manburg, this goes before the events of Final Waltz, but I guess she decided that the poem fit with this instead

So this was the event doomsday. Dream, Philza and Technoblade blew up L’manburg for the final time. My idea that the part was it was JSchlatt’s horns and Eret’s crown but once it went to the smile it’s foreshadowing the Enderwalk

when the smile, horns and the crown appeared in King of Kings, it showed the strong rule of l'manberg at the time... The crown representes Eret as the new king, the smile representing Dream and the horns representing Jshlatt when he became the president of manberg, hope this helps :))
