Thanks Jason for this tutorial. I like your step-by-step demonstration. I have only airbrush with lacquer paints. I am now more confident to airbrush enamels after watching your tutorials. Thanks again

Great stuff. This explains well how to deal with enamels. Airbrush makes and construction cleaning issues? I have several Harder & Steenbeck airbrushes including an Infinity CR-Plus, and many other makes, e.g. Iawata, Badger, Gahleri, etc. I even have £20 types for heavy work, but the surprise over the last year has been the "NEOECO" SJ airbrush series. I have to say that these NEOECO makes are a revelation. Cost £40 for an advanced cleverly designed airbrush including spares, airline connector (quick fit type), hose, and spare cups. It cost less than a new needle and guide for my H&S ones. More importantly, it sprays virtually as well as my other expensive airbrushes for fraction of the price. The components are high quality and can withstand potent cleaners, e.g. cellulose lacquers, acetone, etc. I always use my H&S for my fine detail work (0.2 mm needle), but the ease with which I can change needle/nozzles (quick fit) and cleanup is amazing for the price. Another hint for needle cleaning; use "Flash Magic Erase Ultra Power" sponges. Just run your needle a couple of times through the sponge and bingo, "Ultra Clean"!. 👍

I haven’t built a model in 20 years…. What is the best use of each type of paint? Acrylic, lacquer and enamel? I plan to build mostly armour and perhaps some battleships.

I understood the VMS Slo-Mo is for Acrylic paints only. The website suggests "Not suited for solvent-based acrylics (Gunze® C series) and enamels!"; Your thoughts and insight are welcomed.
