2018 Nissan Rogue Sport Test Drive Review: Capitalizing On A Great Name

Nissan has struck gold with the Rogue, the hottest-selling SUV in the US. In order to capitalize on its popularity, it decided to name its sub-compact SUV the Rogue Sport. While it doesn't really live up to the Sport billing, the Rogue Sport looks and feels more athletic than its big brother. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder sending 141 horsepower through a CVT transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but all-wheel-drive is available for $1,350. It may not be the most bold-looking SUV in its segment, but the Rogue Sport offers good value, size, and comfort, along with some very useful safety tech starting at $22,110 for the base SV trim.

Or a senior citizen. The segment everyone forgets about. Stick that remote start, because long periods of idling will ruin the engine, but young people do not give a damn, because they are too lazy to scrape frost from their widows. It is easier to ruin your engine.

Mean no harm by this, but is Jay still around? I liked his style!

I had one for a rental and I really didn’t like it. It road terrible and the handling wasn’t much better. If I was purchasing one of these small utes it would be the Mazda CX-5. Just FYI it was the regular Rogue.

I'm really disappointed with my Rogue Sport. I loved the style and the safety features but the pick up is absolutely horrible. It doesn't have an automatic trunk standard and the headrests are really uncomfortable. I am also having a ton of electrical issues. Its not even a year old and my sun roof is giving me problems and my airbag light won't go won't keep this car much longer.
