How can you build stronger relationships and build trust? What do you need to do to earn the trust of a client? "Communication is about finding common ground" + "Ask little questions and make the decisions really small, reducing risk" = A great (client) relationship!

How do you translate their needs when they're not sure what they want? One of the biggest road blocks between you and the client is the "Curse of Knowledge". You've been trained, you know all the terms and techniques, but the client hasn't, and they find it hard to articulate what they need from you. That's where great communication comes in. In this video, Chris breaks down simple steps that you can take to better communicate with your client, avoid frustration, and deliver true customer service.

0:50 Find common ground, shared language Tip 1
1:13 Ask better questions To Find out What Matters to the client Tip 2
1:26 Demonstrate your listening by confirming Tip 3
1:40 Acknowledge and Understand Tip 4
2:29 Ask low commitment questions to make decisions easier Tip 5
3:13 Be honest and say "I don't know" Tip 6
3:48 Be patient, take time to listen and understand Tip 7

"Communication isn't about the words you use, but finding common ground" this is so true in all relationships, personal or business. The word communication originally came from the word communis, which means "common" or "shared" in Latin :)

What has helped me the most in building trust with my clients is a proper onboarding process - when you can understand the needs of your clients and guide them with proper questions you immediately win credibility in the eyes of your client

I respect employees so much when they find someone who knows a product better. Who searches for the right answer. Do that!

“So they ask lots of questions without forcing you to make big decisions …” is the most powerful statement I’ve heard recently. Thank you, Chris. :)

You know, most times people are so used to fast-paced conversations that when they see someone who slows it down to communicate transparently, it's surprising. Not forcing myself on people does the trick. I'm only here to know what your needs are and to help you. If we aren't a good fit, that's fine. If we are, that's great.
By the way, whoever added that beat at the background, Ricky or Jona, please keep it coming! 🔥

Hi!
I totally agree with you on this, and this is my business policy to provide good services to my clients and this is only possible if you are good in communication and fully understand what your client is demanding. Honestly if I have some confusion understanding or if I don't understand my client demands, I straight away don't accept to take up the project which leave positive vibes on my client. The is the best strategy to win customer's trust and winning trust is utmost, not only in business but in all the fields in life.

A lot of these tacticts I actually heard from "Never split the difference"-Chris Voss (25 years of FBI hostage negotiator)

It's a good sign when these tactics and useful tools are used in businesses.

Make the world better place 💙
