In South Africa we call these rusks. We have them in chocolate chip, buttermilk, peanut butter, oats and honey, cinnamon, cranberry and even granola flavour.

Ingredients:
225g Unsalted butter, softened
150g Light brown sugar
75g granulated sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
300g Plain Flour
1 Tsp Bicarbonate Soda
1 Tsp Salt
250g Choco Chips

Directions:
1) Add sugars and butter to a bowl and whisk until light and fluffy
2) Add eggs and vanilla then mix until combined
3) Add your flour, Bicarbonate soda, and salt and fold until just combined
4) Then add your chocolate chips
5) Scoop and mix into a lined 8x10 baking tin then add more choco chips on top if you wish
6) Bake at 160C 20-25 mins
7) Enjoy!


AMERICAN VERSION 🇺🇸 🦅 🏈

Ingredients:

• 1 Football of (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
• 3/4 cup light brown sugar
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 3/4 cups chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Add sugars and butter to a bowl and whisk until light and fluffy
2. Add eggs and vanilla then mix until combined
3. Add your flour, baking soda, and salt and fold until just combined
4. Then add your chocolate chips
5. Scoop and mix into a lined 8x10 baking tin then add more chocolate chips on top if you wish
6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 20-25 minutes
7. Enjoy!

A random thing I do that I find helps if you can’t fully get rid of your social media accounts is turning off notifications. When it’s not constantly in your face, you don’t really think about it much and you’ll only get in the app when you yourself want to rather than when your attention is drawn to it, which tends to be a lot. I personally do it cause seeing lots of notifications from social apps makes me anxious but I think it can help with limiting app usage too😅

Ingredients:
225g softened butter

1) Preheat your oven to 180°C/ Gas Mark 4/ 160°C (fan)

2) Line an 8x10" baking tin with baking paper.

3) Whisk together the butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy.

4) Add the eggs and vanilla and whisk until combined.

5) Fold in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt.

6) Add the chocolate chips and fold them in.

7) Scoop the mix into the baking tin and smooth it out.

8) Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.

9) Bake for 20-25 minutes and allow to cool in the tin.

10) Slice it into 24 bars.

11) Enjoy!
