Is Caracas as dangerous as they say it is? Maybe so. But we didn’t find any evidence of that violence in the 3 weeks we visited the country. Of course, there are poor areas where we heard there can be crime but we had no reason to go there just as we wouldn’t visit any shady area in other big cities like New York or Rome.
