The Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565)

Galaxy season 2020 is drawing to a close but we've still got time for a couple more objects. The Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565) is an edge on spiral galaxy located between about 30 to 50 million lights years from earth. It sets edge on from our viewing perspective and gives us a great look at is central bulge and dust lanes. In this video I will tell you more about it and show you how I captured and processed an image using my Orion ED 80 T and ZWO asi 183 MC Pro camera. I used Astrophotography Tool (APT) in the capture as well as Astropixel Processor and Photoshop in the processing.
