In mechanics for jee main almost every year bouncing ball problems are asked in different situations including bounce from horizontal surface and that on a staircase.

In JEE Advance mechanics section under cases of collision of a ball with a floor is very important. In this video Ashish Arora Sir is covering below concepts on different cases of collisions of a ball with floor or a wall.

Concept-1 : Normal bouncing of ball on floor
Concept-2 : Oblique collision of ball on smooth floor
Concept-3 : Coefficient of restitution
Concept-4 : Types of collisions - elastic, partial elastic & inelastic collisions on floor
Concept-5 : Total distance covered by a ball in infinite bouncing on a floor
Concept-6 : Total time taken by a ball in infinite bouncing on a floor
Concept-7 : Partial elastic collisions of a ball on a staircase
Concept-8 : Elastic bouncing of a projectile from a vertical wall
Concept-9 : Partial elastic bouncing of a projectile from a vertical wall
Concept-10 : Elastic bouncing of a projectile between two vertical walls
Concept-11 : Range ratio of successive bouncing of a projectile on partial elastic floor
Concept-12 : Time Calculation of successive bouncing of a projectile on partial elastic floor

There are many such cases taken as advanced illustrations in Physics Galaxy Advance Illustration book which is an excellent collection of Problems in Physics for jee advanced. Students can refer our Physics Galaxy series of books for detailed theory and practice problems for JEE Main and JEE Advanced preparation. These books are available for purchase at below link -

Detailed understanding of all such concept can be covered through the Physics Galaxy Concept videos available through our channel playlist or our website.

Students can follow our channel updates on our facebook page.

For preparation of JEE Main and JEE Advanced, students can also watch videos of Physics Galaxy Advance Illustrations. Links of Advance Illustrations of all topics of Mechanics on our website are given below. In these links students can find several Problems in Mechanics for JEE Advanced preparation.

12:10 the angles on the wall are not = to theta, they are some other angle alpha. Sir has taken it by mistake, don't get confused.
