I can remember when I was ice skating on Thanksgiving day and had to remove the snow from the ice first. It is not unusual for snow and ice in the NE at this time of year. It is just the weather people are too young to remember. JS

In Canada, Thanksgiving in October is perfect because fall in Canada is absolutely gorgeous with no snow but plenty of the beautiful fall colors. It is the perfect time to give thanks! Living in the Okanagan valley, Canada's florida, we didn't get snow until December last year and then the snow was all gone in February. Also, plenty of time for the kids to celebrate Halloween and a nice break before

Wow snowing in late Nov in the northeast ... who would have guessed. Weather commentators are surprised when it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

I live in the Pocono and there are trees down everywhere, power outages, the roads aren't plowed because PENDOT sucks. Its a damn mess up here and not for "vacationers". Its a mess for those of us that live here year round.

In Canada, Thanksgiving is on the second Monday in October so Canadians NEVER have to worry or wonder if they can drive or fly to their family Thanksgiving dinners like americans do EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!! Don't you get sick of all those canceled flights?

Last year in my area we had two dustings. I live in Western MA. A lot of people depend on snow plowing income to get through the year. They had trouble.

We'd be happy to take lots more storms in New England. We've been in drought since late spring and have had to deal with wildfires.
