The Redundancy Principle

There are times when people speak and show exactly the same text on screen. This makes one or the other redundant. This typically happens in slide presentations where the speaker will read out every single word in bullet points.
This can be a problem when you have a graphic up on screen as well. Learners will switch back and forth between the written text and the graphic. This is suboptimal for both reading and understanding the displayed graphic.
In this video I explain how to avoid this with by running through the redundancy principle. I'll also give tips and tricks on using it in your own work.
