With To Binge, Empire Ants, Broken and Melancholy Hill I think I've cried enough for the rest of my life

Depression is so isolating. Addiction so misunderstood. Being lost in a familiar place is hard to describe.

This song feels like being stranded in the middle of the ocean, floating aimlessly.

Maybe someone will find you, maybe not, but it’s out of your hands at this point, and there’s a certain peace in complete helplessness

That feeling when you remember that in the Gorillaz Universe, Murdoc wrote this entire album, and so that means that he wrote this that sounds like a relationship surrounding depression and alcoholism. It's just so damn sad. Murdoc, who hurt you °^°

Some people are shutting down other people's ideas of listening to this on the beach because the meaning isn't a happy one. But the beach doesn't have to be happy either. I think the colours of. The setting sun and crashing of the waves and the wind could evoke tears of sadness as well as the feeling of happiness

[Yukimi Nagano:]
Waiting by the mailbox, by the train
Passin' by the hills 'til I hear the name
I'm looking for a saw to cut these chains in half and all I want is
Someone to rely on as
Thunder comes a rolling down
Someone to rely on as
Lightning comes a staring in again

[Damon Albarn:]
I'll wait to be forgiven
Maybe I never will
My star has left me
To take the bitter pill
That shattered feeling
Well the 'cause of it's a lesson learned
Just don't know if I could roll into the sea again
"Just don't know if I could do it all again, " she said, it's true

[Yukimi Nagano:]
Waiting in my room and I lock the door
I watch the coloured animals 'cross the floor
And I'm looking from a distance
And I'm listening to the whispers
And, oh, it ain't the same
When you're falling out of feeling
And you're ralling in and caught again
Caught again

[Damon Albarn:]
I'm caught again in the mystery
You're by my side, but are you still with me?
The answer's somewhere deep in it, I'm sorry that you're feeling it
But I just have to tell you that I love you so much these days
Have to tell you that I love you so much these days, it's true

[Damon Albarn (Yukini Nagano):]
My heart is in economy
Due to this autonomy
Rolling in and caught again
Caught again

[Both:]
Caught again
Caught again
Caught again

My heart is in economy
Due to this autonomy
Rolling in and caught again
Caught again

If Murdoc actually wrote these songs I think he would be writing about Noodle being missing and the whole El Mañana incident, and he knew it was his fault so he felt horrible about it. It really hits me in the heart knowing he sees her as a daughter..

Damn, they really nailed the whole "ocean vibe" with this album. This song sounds like the sea.

I've kinda been suffering from depression Lately and when I listen to this song it calms me down and tells me that I'm not alone. When people ask me how I feel I just play this song so I don't need to say anything, the lyrics do it for me.

When I listen to a Gorillaz song, I usually picture 2D singing. In this though I can't, I only see Damon. It's weird.

Guys, hands down this is my favorite Gorillaz song ever. The tune and the rhythm is so soothing and this song is good to listen to when you want to relax or to shine up.

This song is so relaxing, yet melancholy and depressing at the same time.

So can I just talk about how much I love plastic beach for a minute? Not only are the songs pure eargasms, but the lyrics are deep and bittersweet. Plastic beach is probably the one of the best albums that has ever graced my ears.

This song always makes me cry. For some reason it remindes me of my childhood and how it all gone and that I will never be carefree child. I feel like I'm standing on a beach looking at the sun setting and on the sky my childhood memories are being shown whilst I'm crying.
To anyone reading this I really hope you will have a amazing life full of happiness safety.
