There's a lovely beach in Tobago, where no one except a few locals visit as it is surrounded by Manchineel trees. Saying that, if you know where to sit the beach is so peaceful and the sea so calm and inviting...

Dude there's one near where I live in Georgia. One day a man and his friend came into the pizza place where I worked. One of them had eaten from that tree and he could not breathe, tears running down his red face, foaming a bit from the mouth. We called for an ambulance and gave him some water while he waited. It was a horrible sight and we thought that he was going to die on our floor. Don't know what happened to him afterwards after they took him hope he's all right 😬

I don’t believe we have these in the north, but we were always warned as children never to touch or eat from a crab apple tree. I’m wondering if this is why.
