EAGLE RIVER COLORADO FLY FISHING ... catching big Vail valley trout in one of Colorado's freestones!

The more craziness the world throws my way, the more I just want to get out there and fly fish ... and that's exactly what I did recently ... heading up to one of Colorado's best freestone rivers to try and put some big fish in the net. I've spent a lot of my time the past few months fishing tailwaters, so it was nice to get out on a freestone now that the weather's getting a little warmer! The Eagle River is a fantastic fishery and one that I can't wait to explore more!! Hope you'll enjoy this short video and thanks as always for watching :)

Disclaimer: Winter fishing is not easy, but the rewards may be many ... one of which is visiting these incredible fly fishing waters and being the only one there! Just don't pull a DAN and get frostbite in the process ;)

I love this spot behind the ponds, if you go down and across where the river splits below where u first shooting there is a great hole
