So I have been to this county park several times now. I put together some video that I have collected so far while going there. It is beautiful. There is a bunch of rhododendron in the area as it is in the Blue Ridge Mountains which is known for having a bunch of rhododendron. It isn't really a place one will get lost in, if you did you would eventually make it to a road. Camping is not allowed sadly so this isn't an area for backpacking really. It is a nice place for a day hike though or if you want to train your body to get used to inclines and rougher terrain. Some trails are easier to walk on but others are good for rolling an ankle or tripping over roots. They have a picnic area where people can park but it closes at 7pm. Car camping at the bottom of the mountain is allowed, it isn't specified that it is not allowed, a ranger told me that no ones comes to check at night to see if anyone is there. I did car camp a few times here which was nice, a few cars come through at night, probably to see the stars. I think the park is about 900 acres if I remember correctly. This county park is located in Johnson City.
