Finland seems to specialize in melancholy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, and can be beautiful if done well, and Insomnium does it very well.

I do understand what you mean about the vocals. It would have been interesting to hear this with female vocals or clean male vocals. Thank you for doing my list. I know it was rather melancholic, but as I'm from Finland it shouldn't come as a surprise... I hope the next one you do has a bit happier songs in it...
