Every society is ruled by a class of elites, and every ruling elite rises and falls. I discuss Vilfredo Pareto's theory of the circulation of elites and how it explains the way ruling classes change over time.

80% of society’s problems are caused by just 20% of the foxes shenanigans

We're not lead by foxes or lions but by wolves in sheep's clothing.

This also made me think of how until recently our Presidents overwhelmingly had served in the military.

Still, we're not dealing with foxes, we're dealing with cuttlefish, parasites, camouflaged cannibals & vampires.

This all ends with wolves. With the lions gone, the barbarians will play. As for the foxes? Thier tricks won't save them this time. Should have kept those lions around. Whomp whomp.

Did Pareto (or others) discuss the creation of the "Lion"? I should think it's tied to external struggle being experienced and lessons learned. How well does Pareto's analysis work on cultures of the East, such as Japan or China?

Great thoughts on why government falls. I do admit I thought on a normie level that it was authoritarianism that brings down elites. Yet your arguments about a weak and disinterested elite cut off from upwardly mobile type 2's makes sense.

One reason why the Italian school emerged is that the political system of the Kingdom of Italy - especially prior to WW1 - was not very coy about being nepotistic. The franchise was extremely limited and they didn't bother hiding that a member of parliament had himself elected by his buddies in the district, everything was very blatant.

Check out Friends Divided: John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, specifically chapters 6 to 8. It shows Adams' similar conclusions on the iron law of oligarchy and was in favor of a monarchic Republic. He and Madison studied European snd classical republics and came to similar conclusions.

Yes, Nobel lies. Foxes and lions, instead of different metals. It all requires uncrital people to believe in it. I don't. I don't follow cults. The more critically I think, the less I can accept this society. We are progressing.
